Before Your Appointment:

It is our goal to ensure your procedure yields the best possible results. As such there are a few things to you should do to prepare for your skin upcoming appointment.

In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit:

• Do not drink alcohol 24 - 48 hours before your tattoo

• Do not consume coffee before your procedure

• Do not take an Aspirin or Ibuprofen 24 hours prior

The Prep:

• Do not pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis one week before the procedure

• Do not tan two weeks prior to the service, or have a sunburned face

• Do not have any type of facial 2 weeks prior to the procedure

• Do not workout the day of the procedure

• Do not have botox 3 weeks prior to the procedure

• Do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior to the procedure (they are natural blood thinners)

• Do not wax or tint your eyebrows 3 days prior to the procedure

For the Lip Blush, procedure please follow the checklist for all permanent makeup procedures (listed above) as well as these additional pre-care instructions:

  • 1 week prior start using a good lip conditioner/mask/balm several times a day. We want to get the lips in a great condition where they are healthy and hydrated!

  • You can gently exfoliate the lips for one week prior to your appointment. You can either buy a gentle scrub or make your own using 1 drop coconut oil & 1 teaspoon of sugar to create your own scrub. (Do not over scrub the lips, we are just trying to gently remove any excess dry skin.) Always follow the scrub up with a lip conditioner/balm.

  • If you suffer from cold sores in the past, it is advised that you consult with your doctor prior to the lip blush treatment. Many clients can avoid a coldsore post procedure by taking Valtrex (prescription) 1 dose on the day of the procedure and 1/day for 3 days following the appointment. L-Lysine (vitamin supplement) is also helpful to boost your immune system and promote faster healing.

  • Many clients have had lip fillers and this is okay. I suggest having the lip blush procedure at least 4 weeks after the lip injections have been administered.

After Your Appointment:

General

Treated areas will appear darker, larger, and more saturated up to one week following your procedure. Do not scrub or pick at your permanent makeup. Doing so may result in the formation of scar tissue. Do not tan, swim, soak, sauna, or exfoliate for one week following your procedure. For up to one week, your procedure is considered an open wound. Please follow Post-Care instructions carefully to ensure proper healing and to greatly lessen the risk of infection. Please do not use anything on your permanent makeup that was not provided or approved by your technician during the healing process.

Eyebrows

Use a cotton swab  gently wipe the brows in the direction of your natural hair growth, once in the morning and once before bed. If your eyebrows feel tight or dry, it is ok to apply a very thin layer of the aftercare ointment provided, but the goal is to keep the area as dry as possible throughout the healing process. Slight flaking is to be expected within the first week after your procedure. Do not scrub or pick at your eyebrows.

Eyeliner

Use a cotton swab to apply the provided aftercare ointment to the eyelids several times daily, as needed. If your eyeliner feels tight or dry, it is time to apply more ointment. Just a thin layer is needed. More is not always better. Wash eyelids twice a day with antibacterial soap and lukewarm water. Gently pat dry with a paper towel.

Lips

Use a cotton swab to apply a thin layer of the provided aftercare ointment to your lips. Reapply several times daily. It is essential to keep your lips well moisturized during the healing process. Wash twice a day with antibacterial soap and lukewarm water. Gently pat dry with a paper towel, and reapply aftercare ointment.

Freckles/Beauty Marks

Keeping the area nice and dry will yield the best result for these tiny marks. Use a cotton swab to apply a very thin layer of aftercare ointment, as needed. Avoid picking at any flaking skin as it heals, as you could completely remove the small markings as they are attempting to settle in.

A complete list of aftercare instructions will be provided to you and explained, following your procedure.
